CHILDREN ARENA

 

The bible says children are the heritage of thy Lord. Ps 127:3&4. Eri Obadikah has been keeping to His promise and He is multiplying them continuously making the children of this living church to multiply. He is a good God.

The teaching team are: Adeoye Busayo, Ogidan Remilekun, Famoyegun Olalekan, Elesho Ronke and Yinka Olaosebikan.

WHAT MAKES YOU TO BE A GOOD PARENT

The most important thing, a jewel and immeasurable thing is “A SENSE OF BEEN LOVED”. Little children cherished affection and love. We endeavour the parents and the readers to inculcate the followings in order for the parent to be incomparable.

·         Appreciate your children:  Remember vividly that your child is not an extension of yourself. He/ she is an individual under your care. Avoid comparing your children to others (even siblings) each child is individual and unique. Celebrate him or her and always appreciate them, do not create inferiority complex in your child. Luke 15:22, 1cori 8:1

·         Be a role model:  the bible says we are the books that …………….. Children of nowadays are very observant, they notice and studying everything. As a parent we are our children first role model. Always let us be paying more attention to what we do or what we say around them and be mindful of the examples we are making in their presence.

·         Express love and affection: little encouragement and appreciation even as small as smile is can go a long way or miles to boost the confidence and well-being of children. Ma or Sir, always show love to your children and let them feel they are someone with value.

·         Be firm and yet be kind when pointing what they have done wrong. Avoid public humiliation

·         Create time for them and always listen to them: Express interest in your child and always involve yourself in his or her life. Create an atmosphere in which they can come to you with a problem either large or small, control your temper and communicate clearly. Let them be clear and aware of penalties of their action. Be assuring that they understand the reason of any punishment given unto them. Be careful of your verbal expression or explanation.

·         Children behave naughty at times because of the kind of being they are. Sometimes they might be so inquisitive ( keep on asking and repeating the same question for  multiple times e.g.

 

      Child:        mum what colour is this

      Mum:        It is colour black

      Child:        Mum why is it black and how do you know is black?

 

They may be stubborn and troublesome control your temper and give more attention in this situation because he will definitely gain from it.

 

·         Encourage intellectual gift /talent:  always encourage the talent you parent discover in your children. Support them with prayers because some of them are talented, “they will want to know what is pronouncing the sound inside the sounding system” in this process he can spoil or damage expensive materials or things, electronic gadget, even disable or dismantle. In such the parents should embrace the idea with encouragement and cautioning.
